DATA & PROVENANCE

Traceable anatomical data

This viewer uses the complete MaleCNS v1.0 CNS synaptic partner table from one male fly. Search all local annotations or an exact body ID, including unannotated fragments. Skeletons load on demand from local files or the official source.

The soma layer includes traced cells with annotated soma coordinates. SWC files are centerline skeletons; disconnected components remain separate. Displayed point sizes and line widths are not physical diameters. Missing geometry is marked explicitly.

Input sites use postsynaptic coordinates on the focal neuron; output sites use presynaptic coordinates. One presynaptic site may contact several postsynaptic sites, so pair counts differ from unique presynaptic-site counts. Above 60,000 pairs, only the display is sampled. Counts and CSV exports retain all filtered records.

Shared input means that the same upstream cell anatomically contacts both targets. No physiological activity or causal effect is inferred. Archived paper metrics use their original brain-region and source filters, which differ from unrestricted CNS queries.
